Conn Selmer Educational Clinician
Don Haynes served as the Director of Bands at LBJ High School in Austin, Texas for 40 years. During his tenure, the LBJ Band performed across the globe including ambassador trips to Beijing, China, London, England, Paris, France, and Italy. The band consistently won UIL sweepstakes honors at marching and concert performances. Mr. Haynes adjudicates regional and area marching & concert competitions in Texas and across the US. He has presented conducting clinics and motivational speeches at music conventions designed to assist music teachers, college students, and music teachers. Mr. Haynes is a past president of the Board of Directors for the Texas Bandmasters Association. He supervises music majors for Texas State and Texas Tech universities. Haynes serves as a consultant for music educators. Conn-Selmer sponsored Mr.Haynes at two summer band director symposiums in Los Angeles - Arcadia College Music Symposium. In 2018, Haynes was inducted into the Phi Beta Mu Texas Band Director’s Hall of Fame.
