• Recognizes that the future of a strong high school music program provides its students to lifelong experiences, including the possibility of a career in music education.

• Believes that, by providing the finest musical and educational environment for its students to a music education career.

• Knows that by providing high level, quality instruments, its students will learn superior skills and be better prepared for success in music education.

Benefits

The following are the benefits and conditions of becoming a Conn-Selmer All-American High School:

1. The purchase of new, top quality instruments at special pricing and financed through an affordable lease/purchase plan. The goal is to increase the school owned Conn-Selmer inventory to, at least, 85%. This does not include student-owned instruments.
2. A five year warranty on all Conn-Selmer instruments purchased on this program.
3. A Marching banner, provided by Conn-Selmer, will announce your selection as a Conn-Selmer All-American High School ensemble.
4. Six student scholarships of $200.00 each will be provided for the duration of the agreement.
These student scholarships will be used for students interested in music education as a career to attend a summer music camp in your area.
5. One director’s tuition scholarship to attend Conn-Selmer Institute summer session. CSI is sponsored by Conn-Selmer in partnership with MENC.
6. Conn-Selmer will provide a yearly grant of $350.00 towards the cost of a Conn-Selmer artist/clinician each year for the life of the agreement. The Conn-Selmer artist/clinician list includes over 900 artists/clinicians. Expenses above the $350.00 will be the responsibility of the school.
7. Joint Web site links will be established with Conn-Selmer and the high school.
8. Your school will be listed on a Conn-Selmer All American High School Web site and national advertising recognizing all Conn-Selmer All-American High Schools.
9. There will be exclusive news releases in conjunction with the high school administration.
10. A one year introductory subscription to Charms, a music office management computer program, is included in the program. (Not available to schools already subscribing.)
