Elkhart, IN - Conn-Selmer was honored with four awards during this year’s 2016 NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) show in Anaheim, California. From a panel of leading US retailers, the company earned two highly coveted NAMM 2016 Best In Show awards. The pTrumpet received the “Gotta Stock It” trophy, while Ludwig Drums was chosen to be one of six “Companies to Watch”.
Conn-Selmer, America’s leading musical instrument manufacturer based out of Elkhart, Indiana, was also awarded the distinguished “Supplier of the Year Excellence” award by Music Inc. Magazine.
Showcasing 107 years of hand craftsmanship, Ludwig’s Legacy Mahogany series drums were named “Best Drum Set of 2015”. Music & Sound Retailer Magazine recognized Ludwig’s new product achievement after retailers nation-wide voted for this extraordinary drum kit series. The shell, sound and finish of the Legacy Mahogany Series Drums pay homage to Ludwig drums of the mid-1950’s, while utilizing today’s advanced manufacturing technology.
Conn-Selmer debuted the pFunZone, featuring the award winning pTrumpet alongside the pBone, which had been decorated with the same bestowal in previous years. The pTrumpet, the lightest trumpet on the market, includes an innovative all-plastic valve system, allowing it to be played straight out of the box with no oil. The pBone, the world’s first plastic trombone and world’s best-selling trombone garnered a “Best In Show” award during the 2012 NAMM show.
