Conn-Selmer currently has an opening within our finance department for an Accounts Payable Clerk. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager. This position will perform duties to ensure accurate and prompt processing of vendor payments. This person will be based in our corporate office located in Elkhart, IN. The successful candidate must reside within a commutable distance to Elkhart, IN.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs data entry of invoices for system 3-way match
Review weekly payments to source documents for accuracy
Perform monthly closing of accounts payable to ensure that invoices and receipts are recorded in the appropriate period
Investigate problems as identified by vendors and purchasing agents
Reconcile supplier statements
Process wire payments through the banking system
Other duties may be assigned in support of the department
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred and a minimum of two years accounts payable experience required
Experience with accounting software and proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
Data entry proficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail is a must
Must be dependable, motivated, and a self-starter
Ability to multi-task and have excellent follow through and organizational skills
Work well in a team environment
Able to maintain confidential information
Ability to meet deadlines
