We have an opening for a Corporate Human Resource Manager. This position will report to the Director of Human Resource. This position will be responsible for implementing and coordinating Human Resource policies and programs relating to employment, employee relations, benefits training and safety, to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines. This position will also develop, administer, recommend and implement approved, new or modified benefit plans, 4011(k), and policies while insuring maximum coverage at the least possible cost to the company and employees. This person will be based in our Corporate office located in Elkhart, IN. The successful candidate must reside within a commutable distance to Elkhart, IN
Responsibilities
Implement, administer, and communicate personnel policies, procedures, and standards per corporate guidelines, as well as HR related government regulations, to ensure compliance and consistent and fair treatment of all employees.
Counsel employees and managers on personnel policies. Provide guidance and coaching to employees and managers as needed for all employment related matters.
Act as Company liaison with benefits broker and vendors. Evaluate and analyze existing benefits and participate in industry surveys to compare to market data and similar organizations to the Company. Propose and recommend changes to benefits plans to the HR Director, CFO, and President to remain competitive and to meet organizational and financial objectives. Represent Company during negotiations/discussions about benefit plans with broker and vendors to ensure plans are designed as approved by leadership.
Implement benefits plans, including 401(k) and changes as approved by leadership and legal. Manage and administer all approved benefit related programs including handling day-to-day administration of benefit plans, preparing materials, responding timely to employee questions, processing forms, approving and submitting invoices to A/P, etc. as it relates to administering benefits.
Conduct employee meetings and arrange benefits enrollment of employees. Manage the annual open enrollment process and Wellness Screening program. Conduct employee benefit seminars for local personnel.
Standardize and provide reports, such as KPI’s, statistical, and census data, as requested by finance and leadership.
Administer, research to stay current on, remain compliant with, and communicate HR and Benefit regulations/laws; State & Federal (FMLA, HIPPA, FLSA, EEOC, ERISA, Wage and Hour).
Maintain accurate data, benefits related feeds, and employee records in the Human Resource Information System. Update system as necessary to ensure accurate records.
Coordinate and administer worker’s compensation and medical leaves; ensure compliance with FMLA & OSHA regulations and STD policy; safety orientation for corporate office.
Ensure compliance with union contracts for all benefit related programs.
Manage and administer all pension plans.
Post salaried job postings internally and externally. Review resumes received and conduct pre-screening of candidates. Schedule interviews for hiring managers as requested.
Conduct pre-boarding and onboarding for new employees. Implement, maintain, and conduct thorough and professional new hire orientation.
Complete New Hire Checklist, PCN form, etc. and ensure all policies are reviewed and signed off per established guidelines. Notify IT about new hires. Ensure new hire’s workspace is cleaned, organized, and set-up prior to start date.
Implement and maintain a thorough professional off-boarding process. Conduct Separation Meetings and Exit Interviews. Complete Termination Checklist, PCN form, etc. Ensure all company equipment is returned and notify IT about terminated employees.
Assist with company functions such as special events, training, holiday activities, etc.

Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field. PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources in a corporate environment.
Minimum of 2 years with benefits administration.
Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in one-on-one situations and in groups.
Good working knowledge of employment and labor laws.
Must be able to be discreet, present professional appearance, and able to handle sensitive matters with complete confidentiality.
Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, innovative, have initiative, able to multi-task, adaptable to change, and have excellent time management skills.
Physical Requirements
Minimal travel required.
Requires repetitive upper body movement – keyboard and monitor use.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time—walking around and interacting with employees.
