We have an opening within our IT Department for a Website Developer. This position will be based at our Corporate Headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana and reports to the Director of IT.
The Website Developer is responsible for optimizing all Conn-Selmer web pages and applications. You will be working closely with our Marketing Team and other Company Teams to create web pages and sites. The right candidate for this position will be able to track, test, maintain and improve our websites.
Develop and optimize web pages/web applications.
Write efficient, testable, and reusable code by using software development best practices.
Create and maintain software documentation.
Gather and determine requirements based on stakeholder input.
Responsible for daily maintenance of existing sites and applications.
Work closely with Marketing, Division of Education, and other teams to create web pages and web sites.
Track website statistics and user feedback to formulate strategies and opportunities for short term and long-term improvements.
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in relevant field.
Minimum 5 years of experience developing web pages and web applications.
Experience in a SaaS environment / cloud-based computing is a plus.
Strong communication and organizational skills with an acute attention to detail.
Must have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter with ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
Experience creating, implementing, and managing site content, modifications, designs and navigation strategy.
A solid understanding of how web applications work including security and session management.
Knowledge of object-oriented programing.
Knowledge of Laravel, Concrete5 and Infor is a plus.
Strong knowledge of version control tools.
Experience and understanding of working with responsive (RWD) and dynamic frameworks
Knowledge of SEO and SEM
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Acute hand mobility and eyesight to work at a computer for long periods of time.
Must physically sit/work at the corporate office location in Elkhart.
