Caleb Hudson, a graduate from the Juilliard School in 2012, is the newest member of Canadian Brass. At age 25, he is a charismatic gifted trumpet player. A native of Lexington, Kentucky his resume includes being the National Trumpet Competition Winner multiple times, performances with the New York City Ballet, New World Symphony, Hudson Valley Philharmonic and a solo debut with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
"I'm thrilled to be the newest member of the Canadian Brass! Not only am I eager to meet the fans and to reach audiences all over the world through making music with such an incredible ensemble but I'm also looking forward to sharing my passion with aspiring young musicians," said the gracious young man.
Caleb Hudson joining Canadian Brass was a surprise announcement made on satellite radio last Friday, March 15th. Fans listening were thrilled to hear the news in addition to the impressive performance they were tuned in for. Caleb’s first official appearance with the Canadian Brass will be in Residence at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music on March 20-23rd.
Canadian Brass performs exclusively on Bach and C.G. Conn brass instruments from Conn-Selmer and record on the Steinway & Sons record label.
