For Immediate Release
Conn-Selmer is pleased to announce a partnership with the Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD). Located in Clear Creek, Texas and part of the greater Houston area, CCISD enrolls approximately 39,000 students annually. Director of Visual and Performing Arts, Dean Muths, had this to say when asked why he chose to participate in the Conn-Selmer School Program, “It was an easy choice for me to take the steps necessary to become a member of the Conn-Selmer School district family. The determining factor, outside of the incredible instruments they manufacture, is Conn-Selmer’s dedication to supporting music education throughout the United States through its many educational outreach programs. Conn-Selmer is the model for all other instrument manufacturers because they are not just trying to build a great instrument; they are trying to develop great music teachers who will help bring music to every child in our country. They take the money they earn and reinvest in our musical human infrastructure. That’s a family I want to be a part of!”
“CCISD has a very supportive arts community beginning with the world class faculty and also with an engaged parent association. This last December, the Clear Creek High School Wind Ensemble received one of its highest honors performing at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. We look forward to a long term partnership with the district and its programs,” said Michael Kamphuis, Managing Director of Conn-Selmer’s Division of Education.
The Conn-Selmer Division of Education, led by Vice President of Education, Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser, is dedicated to providing resources for music educators worldwide. These goals are accomplished through teacher in-service support, Conn-Selmer Institute, Conn-Selmer VIP Program and the Music Administration Collaborative. In addition the Division of Education provides assistance with instrumental purchase planning via the Conn-Selmer School program.
