Elkhart, IN—April 14, 2017 – The Conn-Selmer Division of Education announces Kansas State University (Manhattan, Kansas) to its growing list of institutions who are part of the Conn-Selmer School Partnership Program. The program gives the Pride in Wildcat land access to discounted instrument purchases and leasing, Conn-Selmer Educational Clinicians, instrument inventory assessment, and scholarships for both students and directors to attend Conn-Selmer Institute - the preeminent annual event focused on advancing music education across the nation.
More specifically, Conn-Selmer partnered with K-Sate’s Director of Bands, Dr. Frank Tracz, to facilitate this long-term partnership. “With over 800 students participating weekly in the KSU band program, I wanted to ensure that American made products were in the hands of our students and that they experienced the lasting power of these instruments,” said Dr. Tracz. “The Conn-Selmer Division of Education represents the best of the best and I want my bands to be a part of a team that is providing leadership, service, support, and innovative products to the field of music education.”
Conn-Selmer Managing Director of the Division of Education, Michael Kamphuis commented, “We are thrilled to be partnering with the third-oldest school in the Big 12 Conference and the oldest public institution of higher learning in the state of Kansas." “Our educational support team is eager to provide resources to this rich community and proud to offer the future leaders of tomorrow the highest quality service, instruments, and support available within today’s music industry.”
