Elkhart, IN—Sept. 15, 2017 – Mark Lane to become an Educational Support Manager for Conn-Selmer's ever-growing Division of Education team. Residing in the Seattle/Tacoma area, Mark brings over 38 years of knowledge and experience as a distinguished music educator and will begin working for the company on January 2, 2018.
Currently, Mark is the Associate Director of Bands and Professor of Music Education at Central Washington University. Mark holds a BA from Eastern Washington University and a MA from the University of Oregon. Previously, he served on both the Oregon Music Education Association and the Washington Music Educators Association Boards. Lane has worked 14 years on the WMEA Board of Directors and was President from 2008-2010. He also was the West Division President of the National Association for Music Education from 2013-2015 and on the National Executive Board of NAfME for three years. In addition, Mark is a frequent clinician, adjudicator, and conductor throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
