  Conn-Selmer Institute (CSI)

Conn-Selmer Institute (CSI) equips current and future music educators with practical skills and relevant strategies to address current trends in the field of instrumental music education. The curriculum is comprised of inspiring workshops led by world-class faculty and is a must-attend event for instrumental directors at any stage in their careers. This annual workshop is an intense three-day music immersion experience that always sells out early. Attendees can expect to experience:

  • Opportunities to enhance current teaching skills and discover new strategies through collaborative and interactive sessions led by veteran and seasoned educational clinicians.
  • Network with over 350 educators, administrators, and program leaders from around the world.
  • Tour two of Conn-Selmer's manufacturing facilities and see first how our legendary American-made instruments are created.
  • Play test our vast portfolio of historic brands including Vincent Bach, C.G. Conn, Holton, Selmer, Musser, Armstrong, and Leblanc.
  • Receive 37 hours of professional development and up to two college credit hours from VanderCook College of Music.
  • Play in the Hal Leonard Reading Band led by composer & arranger, Michael Sweeney.
  • Groove in the rockin' drum circle led by Remo's iconic John Lee Lane.

  VIP Program

The Conn-Selmer VIP Program links music educators together with our Division of Education team to form a synergistic partnership focused on increasing access and equity of music education around the globe. Participation in the VIP Program is by invitation only and begins with a trip to Conn-Selmer's Corporate Headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana.

During this behind the scenes visit, the Conn-Selmer Division of Education will provide professional development and networking opportunity unlike any other. Educators will experience:

  • In-depth factory tours from the last full-line American made band and orchestra manufacturer

  • Meetings with our Executive Staff and Division of Education team

  • A professional development workshop presented by a Conn-Selmer Educational Clinician

  • An interactive product session where you become a vital part of the product development process
